2. Rhinestone Painting
You may have seen gemstone paintings on social media. To get started, you’ll need some special crafting supplies, but there’s very little learning curve to this one.
To get started, you’ll need sheets of adhesive paper, rhinestone placing pens, and tons of glass rhinestones of your choosing. These red rhinestones are the perfect starting place for your next masterpiece.
3. Felt Ornaments
If you’re throwing together a holiday get together and want to include some artistic activities, look no further than felt ornaments. Felt is inexpensive, easy to work with, and comes in tons of colors. In addition, you’ll need some sewing needles, thread, and beads or sequins to decorate with.
To make your ornaments pop, you’ll want to stuff them. You can use cotton batting or go green and use recycled paper scraps or scrap fabric.
4. Candle Pouring
Candles make great home decor and great gifts, but finding the perfect scent isn’t always easy. Candle pouring is a fun (albeit messy) way to play with aromatherapy and make crafts with a purpose.
To start, you’re going to need a few pounds of 100% soy wax melt beads, a variety of essential oils, a handful of wicks, and a pot you don’t care about. Melt your wax, mix in your essential oils while it’s still hot, and pour it over your wick into a heat-resistant container. For some added fun, you can also make custom candle labels.
5. Flower Arranging
Flower arranging is a fun and fragrant way to express your creativity. To get to know your friends a little better, ask each of them to bring a few dozen stems of their favorite bloom (or a flower in their favorite color).
Then, all you’ll need are vases (clean glass jars will do), some sharp scissors, and plenty of space to lay out your stems and start playing with different arrangments.
